Digital transformation is contributing to increasingly rapid and incisive changes in our society and lifestyle. Also in sports, digital transformation plays an important role, as it can contribute to the development and optimization of sports practice and training, both at amatorial and professional level.
Target group will consist of young athletes, coaches and sports managers, research professional figures. They will be involved in a training program that will take place both locally and internationally.
The EDATS (European Digital Assisted Training in Team Sports) project aims at integrating digital technologies with methodologies relevant to sports training, supporting young athletes’ sports careers, preventing injuries and helping to improve sports performance.
The main goal of the project is to contribute to the definition of new training methods aimed at improving performance and postural approach, to be shared internationally.
These methods will result from the application of biomechanical analysis technologies and the cross-cultural and inter-professional exchange of participating organizations.
Developing and strengthening European values among the participants through various activities such as mobility events. In reference to the main objective, a tool will be developed: the ICT-Sport useful for processing biomechanical data and designing specific and customized training programs for athletes in order to improve sports performance and prevent accidents and injuries that could compromise the sports career of athletes.
