EDATS Project Presentation at the 17th Asthma & Sport Congress

The 17th Asthma & Sport Congress was held on 8th November 2025 at the Conference Hall of the University Campus in Monserrato, ahead of the CRAI CagliariRespira running event. This prestigious professional event focused on asthma, COPD, and the relationships between sport and chronic diseases.

The EDATS project, supported by the Erasmus+ programme, was also presented at the congress. Among the Italian project partners, the University of Cagliari and DAUVEA were represented at the event. Professor Bruno Leban delivered a presentation introducing innovative, European-level developments in the fields of sport, physical activity, and health promotion. His presentation fit well with the scientific focus of the congress and generated strong interest among participants.

The programme featured scientific, educational and sports medicine-focused sessions. A key objective of the event was to highlight the crucial role of regular, properly supervised physical activity in the prevention and treatment of asthma, obesity, and other chronic diseases—an approach that is fully aligned with the core philosophy of the EDATS project.

The 17th Asthma & Sport Congress also served as a lead-up event to Sardinia’s largest half marathon, the CRAI CagliariRespira race. The congress provided an excellent opportunity for the EDATS project to present the Erasmus+ programme, as well as the professional cooperation and knowledge exchange achieved through European partnerships.
