ASD Volleyball Alfieri was founded in 1982 and has therefore recently celebrated 40 years of activity. It operates in the women’s division, with the mini-volleyball division (S3) and the entire youth devision.

The first team is currently engaged in the national championship of Serie B2, the fourth series of the Italian championship. Over the last few years, many territorial and regional titles have been achieved in the youth championships.

Currently there are about 200 members of the Club.

Among the athletes who have played in Alfieri volleyball, the name of Rodica Popa stands out. She is a Romanian athlete, member of the former national team of Romania. She is the winner of several championships in Scandicci and best player at the 1971 European Championships. Thanks also to her, Alfieri in 1988 came close to enter to Serie A2.

Currently our captain is Sara Orro, sister of the setter of the Italian national team, Olympic gold medalist in Paris 2024.
